I'll try not to make this to long of a post but you the information is important to the teams involved. As you all know CyberGamer.org is hosting it's first US season of COD4 in the coming weeks. With the overwhelming team response we've been forced to do our best to handle the demand and desire of teams to play at certain levels of difficulty. After much research, polling and communication with top tier teams we came up with our process. This process was to find out the best ten teams to outfit our cg-i league with for season 1. Here is how we came to our conclusion....

First we gathered a list of the top ten teams in the country based on community response(voting, asking and collecting ranks). Then we took those teams and researched their past records, lan exp, league exp and overall longevity. After that we were able to narrow down the list to 12-14 teams that were up for consideration. These teams are as follows:

Once we had this list of teams we gave them a number and put them in a hat/bucket. Then we drew one team at a time and put them into the bracket you see below. These 10 teams are the ones lucky enough to be drawn to play for a spot.

How tourney play works:
Each of the ten teams below are matched up against an opponent. These teams will play a winner takes all match vs the team they are paired up against. The winner of the game will take the cg-i spot while the loser takes over the cg-m spot. The teams below will use match com's to eliminate two of the 5 maps listed below. The home team is the team listed at the top of each bracket. This team will be the first to knock out the first two maps in the list. Once that team has knocked out the first two maps then the away team will knock out the last two ultimately leaving a single map left to play. The away team will choose the side it wants first and then the match will begin.

Here are a few FAQ's for those of you interested:

Q: What Promod are we using?
A: We are using Promodlive206

Q: How many rounds are we playing?
A: We will be using MR12.

Q: What anti cheat do we use?
A: CG's brand new Anti Cheat system won't be ready for another 7-10 days. For this reason you will be using Xray anti cheat which can be found here: http://www.xraygaming.com/ Once you have your account setup with Xray you will then enter your profile link or name on your CG profile listed on the website. This is only a temporary use system so please don't assume we're using this for anything other then this playoff series.

Q: What server do we play on?
A: You will be playing on the Home Team's server which must be a central based server. The server must be registered with CG's website here: http://www.cybergamer.org/addserver.php?game=cod4 This will allow us to scan players GUID's, IP and alias's and connect them directly to their accounts.

Q: What happens if a team dies, can't play or chooses not to compete in CG?
A: If this takes place we will replace that team with another team from the list above. If large roster changes take place after the team is placed into cg-i then the team will be reviewed for possible move down.

Q: What if we have a possible disputed ex cheater on our roster?
A: Cheaters and banned players will be removed this week from all rosters. If anyone knows of players that are still in the league after the bans have gone into effect please bring it to the attention of one of the CG admins. We will review the player and their eligibility to play in CG.

Q: Do we have to be paid in full before competing in the playoff match?
A: No, but if your not fully paid prior to the start of the season the team you played will take the spot in your default.
