theres a problem with this logic... the usa cod4 scene had only one league that meant anything for the past 2 years.... which was/still is CEVO as of now, that league's AC methods are that of if you aren't caught on client, then you aren't banned.. why punish someone if they are in a public server messing around and not in a match or scrim cheating... this is their logic and this is why your transition to the USA won't go smoothly unless adjusting your policy a bit to work with this messed up community of people who will cheat if they think there's nothing holding them back ( which cevo doesn't)

So you're saying that if you ruin pub players games, then start representing a place like CyberGamer, that's alright?

I'm fairly sure that if I was a pub player, and a hacker ruined my game, then I got told to visit a site and I saw the same guy/guys I wouldn't join the site.

It's encouraging people to ruin others games.

Australia calls "team's" CLANS, Australia also isn't as competitive globally as the United States. So when using your logic with an American Community, you might want to do some research first. If you are trying to reach the "CLANS" of the united states, then you definitely reached into the wrong community. I've been out of the "clan" scene since 2008.

relixx all of his points are valid it doesn't matter if its NA or AU the fact is cheating is cheating. Your acting like the people in this list have never once played in a scrim or match with these on you cant really tell. So is okay to have cheats in a pub but who is to say if they don't cheat in a pub they wont do it in a scrim or match? You're saying we should just ban them depending on what server they were in when caught. And to be correct CEVO only bans off of match on client.

One more thing to add. ibex should be on this list as well. His original GUID was banned:

btw x32 i deleted everything you said at first, because it didn't make sense to what i was trying to say, anyways about the ibEx ban, it's not 100% his ban, he stopped using it long before it was banned, and the guid was residing in australia for 3 days prior to the ban

No reason to ban someone that you can't prove is the person during the act of cheating

Letting anyone off for cheating is just pointless. Only encourages more cheating. If your caught cheating, it should because you accept the fact that their is a chance you will be caught and is a chance you will be banned.

Running around in public play cheating still ruins other peoples games even outside a competitive scene and should not be tolerated
it also wastes admins time who'd have to go through all the demos because they have been banned before and hope they bypass the AC.

CG is known to have a 0 tolerance policy of cheaters. even cevo CS:S teams in aus who've been banned for a year for cheating are permanently banned on cybergamer. (i only mention CS:S because aus doesnt have cevo CoD4 :o )

If you have to cheat once then you'll most likely do it again. While I think there is a big difference between cheating in a public server and cheating during a match, I still consider cheating cheating no matter where you do it, when you do it, or who you do it too. It isn't that hard to refrain yourself from using cheats. If you want to cheat then find a cheat only server, join that, and then play with everyone else that is cheating so that you can get it out of your system. I just don't understand what everyone's fascination with cheating is.

No matter how much you try and regulate it though, cheating will also be around just like it is in normal sports.

its not like hes defending him, i'm sure that he understands that emzg will not be allowed to play and agrees with the policy just the same.

Not to be mean, but why donate my teams server for that?
Well if it's a private sever and it's not used all the time why not?

It also stops all the people CyberGamer and PB have banned from joining your server.

In AU heaps of teams do it, they don't mind it.

EDIT: Also CG does have their own servers, this is just to help out.

No offense, but i mean if i pay for my server im not gonna give it to other people to use. I mean if i can pay for my server they can pay their own as well. All I am saying is, people are gonna see this and take advantage of it.

Let me straighten you guys out on a few things.

#1 CG Match servers are CyberGamer.org sanctioned servers. We aren't using anyone else's servers nor are we asking to do so.

#2 The server registration method we are giving you guys is to reg your server for scanning or IP's and GUID to tag to your accounts. Not to use for matches or some sort of CG gaming use.

#3 This process of registering your server with us make our community, AC and league stronger. It doesn't give us access to use or change anything on your server.

Hope this explains a bit. I have no idea where this server sharing shit came about but I assure you thats not the case.

Phanlax is doing his best to help out by giving you guys info you request but not everything that is taking place in AU will transfer over here so the info I gave you above should straighten everyone out.
