Im a little curious on how the Previously banned cheaters are going to work out? Are you guys going to go off of cevos ban list? Or does everyone get a fresh start?

From what I know, the servers we use stream pbbans. So anyone on the MBL is banned on CyberGamer.

I haven't played CoD4 in a while so it might have changed.

Okay thank you. And I am a little confused on how match play is. I tried looking for it somewhere but was unable to find anything on it. But, it says that our GUID will automatically be synced with our accounts. Do we HAVE to play on CG servers? Or can we play on our own servers, and if we play on our own servers do we have to install a certain mod?

Matches have to be played on CG servers in AU ladders will most likely be the same.

Will CG ever be adopting some of the things that ESEA has? Like match stats since we are on CG's servers?

You can play on CG servers or add your server to be scanned by entering your server IP and RCON on the site so that our bot can scan it during match play.

Anyone with a existing PBBan in place will also be banned from CG regardless of new GUID or not.

I'm currently not aware of these additions to the site but who knows what may happen in the future.

You said earlier that if we wanted to use our own server for matches, we would have to set-up the bot. Is that going to be a new mod or something on the site?

Setup pugbot.

It's not that hard, all you have to do is install the CyberGamer mod we are currently using then in a certain part of the site add your server IP and Password. This will allow CyberGamer to use your server for PickUp Games.

Pickup games are where 10 people join a section on this website. Then the website will split the 10 people into random teams and setup a game server. Then you can join the game server and all the CyberGamer rules will be in place and it's like a CG war just your team are randoms.

Well if it's a private sever and it's not used all the time why not?

It also stops all the people CyberGamer and PB have banned from joining your server.

In AU heaps of teams do it, they don't mind it.

EDIT: Also CG does have their own servers, this is just to help out.

theres a problem with this logic... the usa cod4 scene had only one league that meant anything for the past 2 years.... which was/still is CEVO as of now, that league's AC methods are that of if you aren't caught on client, then you aren't banned.. why punish someone if they are in a public server messing around and not in a match or scrim cheating... this is their logic and this is why your transition to the USA won't go smoothly unless adjusting your policy a bit to work with this messed up community of people who will cheat if they think there's nothing holding them back ( which cevo doesn't)

Letting anyone off for cheating is just pointless. Only encourages more cheating. If your caught cheating, it should because you accept the fact that their is a chance you will be caught and is a chance you will be banned.

Running around in public play cheating still ruins other peoples games even outside a competitive scene and should not be tolerated

Our league success doesn't fall squarely on the shoulders of COD4 by any means. We don't condone cheating in any form. That's all I really care to comment on the matter. This isn't a personal choice this is a league policy and I seriously doubt they are going to change it so a few people that have cheated are able to play with everyone else. I personally feel better placing my money into a league where I know the people aren't cheating and I have a fair chance of winning rather then paying to be cheated out of any chance.

PS I'm not saying CEVO allows cheaters to play but don't compare our leagues to theirs for this reason. I've seen what happens when leagues turn their heads and allow cheaters a second chance. No thanks...

You don't have to by any means. It just helps to verify outside of matches as well. No worries.
