Welcome to the CS:S discussion forum!
When you need assistance with any given issue with CG Counter Strike Source, we first advise you to look through the
CSS RuleSet first. Most questions can and will be answered in here if it's in regard to the ladder. If the answer to your question or issues can't be found then yes we recommend you drop in a
support ticket. To ensure you get the full help from the correct people make sure you specify
Area: PC and
Game: Counter Strike Source As shown below
If you leave it in just general or don't specify you may get an incorrect answer from another person which is administering a different game and unaware of our process, or you wont get the full reply you expect from the CSS Admins.
Also ensure that you fill out all information that may help admins assisting you ie. URLs, UsersNames, Teams etc.

If a Referee is not present in your match,
take a SCREENSHOT of the players Steam ID's listed in console just after the match goes live (when all players are in the server).
By doing this, you can avoid two problems if the match goes into dispute:
- If the other team doesn't show up to the match, the screenshot will prove that your team was in the server and the other team was not.
- Also, if you suspect the other team was using smurfs, we can easily investigate the problem and solve your dispute quicker if we have access to the screenshot.
If you don't know how to take a screenshot of the players Steam ID's console, read these instructions:
- Open the Console by pressing the ` key (below ESC)
- Type status in Console
- Press F5
- The screenshot is now saved to your screenshots folder (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<username>\counter-strike source\cstrike\screenshots)
Speeding Up Disputes
#If you are disputing your match because you think the other team was using a smurf or an ineligible player, you can speed up the dispute by uploading the screenshot you took at the beginning of the match to http://cybergamer.com.au/upload and posting the player or players names that were smurfing or ineligible for the match.
#If you are disputing your match because you think another player or players on the other team were cheating (using an aim bot, wall hacks, etc) then please do not just say "they were hacking" in your dispute post. This is very unhelpful and will only drag out the dispute even longer. You should be posting information such as; the players you think were cheating and how they were cheating. E.g. "We believe Player B was using an aim bot, I would like their demo reviewed."
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to post them.
